Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Day Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, supervisory experience, and a genuine passion for senior care. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate staff, ensure the delivery of excellent care plans, and foster a positive environment for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support care staff during daytime shifts, ensuring high standards of care delivery.
Lead the implementation and review of individual care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Promote effective communication among team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
Assist with staff scheduling, training, and development to maintain a motivated and skilled team.
Ensure accurate documentation of resident care activities and incident reports using IT systems.
Support residents’ needs with compassion, dignity, and respect while fostering a warm community atmosphere.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a care home or senior care setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
Valid driving license preferred for transportation responsibilities or errands related to resident needs.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Knowledge of care plans development, review processes, and compliance standards.
Competency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
Previous experience in supervising staff involved in delivering senior or personal care is essential.
