Full job description

An exciting development opportunity has arisen within Renfrewshire HSCP. We are seeking applications from experienced team leads or service managers for the post of Hospital at Home and HFRS Locality manager. This post is banded at NHSGGC AFC 8B.

This is a key leadership post with general management responsibility for a range of professions. The post holder will operate within the Renfrewshire management structure and will have responsibility for line management of staff within Rehabilitation and enablement service which also includes Home First Response Service and Hospital at Home Service. The role includes responsibility for recruitment, appraisal, continuing professional development, performance, delegated budget, clinical and corporate governance, staff accommodation and IM&T.

The post holder will provide strategic leadership and operational management for Hospital at home, RES and Home First Response services. The service manager is accountable for the performance, resources and activity within their area of responsibility. In addition, the service manager is responsible for providing managerial input to the HSCP/Locality strategic structure and to actively contribute to the overall planning and management of Health and Social work services in Renfrewshire HSCP. As designated by the senior management team, the post holder is also expected to lead/contribute to a range of specific services both within the HSCP and also wider across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

It is essential for this post that the successful applicant can demonstrate significant leadership experience, including adaptive leadership skills, negotiation skills and continuous problem solving and decision-making skills - as well as the ability to deliver high quality, effective services and performance management.
