Job Overview

Tayside based Property Development/Construction companyn are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical/Commercial Manager to lead our housebuilding technical operations and commercial strategies. The successful candidate will oversee quality assurance processes, ensure compliance with building standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to organisational growth through strategic planning, technical expertise, and effective management of teams. The ideal applicant will possess strong analysis skills and a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance practices within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement technical strategies aligned with organisational goals to optimise product quality and safety
Have the necessary Engineering and Financial experience ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Manage quality assurance programmes, including audits, inspections, and corrective actions to maintain high standards of product integrity.
Lead analysis activities related to product development, process improvements, and customer feedback to inform decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, R&D, and supply chain to enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and competitive advantage.
Provide technical guidance and training to staff on quality standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
Prepare detailed reports for senior management on technical performance, quality metrics, and commercial opportunities.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within the Residential Construction Industry.
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
Demonstrable leadership skills
Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Organised approach with meticulous attention to detail in documentation and process management.
Relevant qualifications in the Construction Engineering, or related fields are highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
