Kitchen Porter

Full-Time (40 hours) and Casual Opportunities available
£12.71 per hour (Casual) Equivalent to £26,436.80 per annum for full-time (40 hours)

Sopwell House is a luxurious, family-owned Georgian country house hotel offering timeless elegance and modern comfort. We’re currently looking for a hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dedicated kitchen team.

Your role in our family:

Be an essential part of our kitchen team, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation across all kitchen and back of house areas
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by washing crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen equipment and utensils
Ensure cleaning schedules are completed to the highest standards and in line with food safety regulations
Remove waste responsibly and keep refuse areas clean, tidy and organised
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and other hotel departments to support the smooth operation of the hotel
Deliver excellent standards while taking pride in maintaining a safe, efficient and welcoming kitchen environment.

What would make you the perfect fit?

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Previous experience in a kitchen porter or similar role would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided
Reliable, hardworking and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the hotel
Takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards and supporting the wider kitchen team
