Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic production operative to join our Powder Coater team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading parts and eventually applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our stringent standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge/understanding.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning and masking as necessary.
Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
Maintain equipment and work area, ensuring cleanliness and safety protocols are followed.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Troubleshoot any issues with the coating process or equipment as they arise.
Inspect completed work for quality and consistency
Adhere to H&S policy and procedures

Experience

Previous experience in powder coating or a similar role is desired.
Proficiency in electrostatic spray Equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operation and maintenance
Familiarity with painting techniques, particularly powder coating processes, is preferred
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills
Strong attention to detail
