Full job description

Job Summary
We’re looking for a reliable, conscientious Cleaner to help us keep our site looking its best. This is a hands-on role working five hours each morning, Monday to Friday, supporting both the cleanliness of our offices and welfare areas, as well as maintaining cleanliness across the factory floor.

A significant proportion of the role (approximately 60%) will involve cleaning activities within the manufacturing environment, including machine and production areas. You will be in a stable, permanent role with consistent hours you can plan your life around.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces in designated areas.
Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly.

Carry out cleaning duties within the factory environment, including:

Cleaning machinery and surrounding work areas
Emptying swarf and waste trays from machines (where safe and appropriate)
Assisting with cleaning of coolant tanks and associated equipment
General housekeeping across the shop floor to maintain a safe and organised working environment
Use powered equipment to clean floor- training given.

Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any damages or shortages promptly.
Follow specified cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency across all areas.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently whilst adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities to management.

What We're Looking For

Previous factory or industrial cleaning experience is helpful but not essential.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to Able to work independently and manage their time well.
Reliable with a professional attitude towards hygiene standards and confidentiality.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to health & safety regulations.
