Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and energetic Barback to support our busy bar environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders by maintaining stock levels, ensuring cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to develop their skills within a dynamic team. The position offers valuable experience in food and beverage service, with opportunities for growth in the hospitality industry. All roles are paid, including internships, and require a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Restock bar supplies such as alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure smooth service during shifts
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces
Assist bartenders with preparing ingredients for cocktails and food preparation when needed
Ensure the bar is organised and well-stocked at all times to optimise efficiency
Support the team in serving customers promptly and courteously
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management promptly
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment
Assist with general cleaning duties around the bar area to uphold high standards of hygiene

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is advantageous
Knowledge of bar operations, including basic drink mixing and garnishing techniques
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
Strong organisational skills to manage stock levels efficiently
Ability to work swiftly under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Experience in hotel or barista roles can be beneficial but is not essential
Friendly demeanour with a proactive approach to teamwork and customer service
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures within a hospitality setting
