Full job description

Location: Truro, Cornwall
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Ideal for: School or college leavers
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays

About the Role:

Cornwall Glass is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our Truro branch and develop valuable customer service, administration, and industry knowledge within a well-established and supportive company. As part of our award-nominated Apprentice Journey, you will complete a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship over 15–18 months, with opportunities for further progression within the business. This varied role will involve working closely with customers, processing orders, and supporting the sales team.

You will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience within our site operations to develop a wider understanding of our products, services, and processes. This may involve some physical work, including handling glass products and assisting with site activities when required.

Daily Tasks Include:

Providing excellent customer service both in person and over the telephone
Assisting customers with enquiries and product information
Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
Managing order entry and updating customer records
Supporting the sales and administration team with day-to-day tasks
Working closely with production and site teams to ensure customer requirements are met
Assisting with site operations when required, including handling products safely and supporting warehouse activities
Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional working environment

Additional Training Provided:

Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship
Training is delivered by Focus Training and will require travelling to Marsh Mills, Plymouth once a month

Health & Safety Training
First Aid Certification

Pay: £16,640.00-£17,368.00 per year
