Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, maintaining accurate accounts, and supporting administrative functions across the organisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting and administration to contribute to the smooth operation of our business.

Duties

Manage and maintain financial records using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and receipts
Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and administrative records
Support general administrative tasks including scheduling, correspondence, and data entry
Liaise with external accountants or auditors as required
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies

Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record management
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Previous experience in an administrative role is desirable but not essential
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is advantageous
