ABOUT US:

Harts of Stur is a fourth-generation family business and have been established since 1919. We have extensive premises built on the original site where our founder, the late Walter Hart, was Sturminster Newton's local Blacksmith.

We are one of the UK's largest in store and online retailers of Cookware, Kitchenware and Kitchen Electrics, stocking a comprehensive range at competitive prices, offering, with great confidence, cookware of unbeatable quality and value.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Must be reliable, punctual and of smart appearance, have clear handwriting and be reasonably good at figures. Past experience in retail would be an advantage but not essential. The applicant must be motivated, quick to learn and be able to work at speed and under pressure and be willing to go that extra mile when the need arises.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The main responsibilities will include:

· Looking after our customers. The most important job of all, you will be serving and helping our customers with their sales and queries

· You will be using the tills, writing credit accounts and generally making their visit as pleasant and informative as possible

· Pricing of stock

· Other duties at the direction of the Shop manager or Company Directors

CURRENT HOURS OF WORK:

Our Normal Opening hours are Weekdays 8am -5.30pm, Saturday 8am -4.30pm, Sunday 10am-4pm.

We currently have a weekend only rota available!

You will work Part Time, on a 3-week rolling rota:

Week 1 - Saturday, Sunday – (2 days)
Week 2 - Saturday, Sunday – (2 days)
Week 3 - (Off)

There may be the opportunity for overtime during busy trading periods.

REMUNERATION:

£9 - £13.45 p.h (dependant on age bracket Living Wage and experience).

HOLIDAY:

28 days per year, pro rata for part time employees, including all Bank Holidays.

STAFF UNIFORM:

All tops are supplied and are expected to be worn at all times. Trousers, skirts and footwear must be black or navy. Safety footwear will be provided.
