Full job description

Moughton Engineering are looking to recruit the following –

Manual Machinists – Miller, Turner or Dual Skilled (Part-Time Considered)

Applicants should have relevant experience and be reliable, motivated, and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to helping drive the business forward. The successful candidate will be capable of producing high-quality machined components in line with the company’s exacting standards.

Key responsibilities and requirements include:

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
Dynamic and capable of meeting challenging deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Competent in all aspects of tool setting, including a sound understanding of cutting speeds and feeds.
Strong experience using measurement and inspection equipment, including verniers, bore gauges, and micrometres.
Ability to carry out deburring of machined components during production cycles while ensuring minimal disruption to output.

We operate in a fast-paced working environment, so this position requires a candidate who is both efficient and methodical in their approach.

The position offers a basic 38-hour working week, with an early finish on Fridays, overtime opportunities, 23 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, birthday leave, a wellbeing day, Christmas Eve off, a contributory pension scheme, life insurance, and occupational health screening.
