Full job description

Forshaws Chartered Accountants, based in Merseyside, serves clients across the UK within a wide range of sectors, specialising within the medical profession.

As a senior member of AISMA (the Association of Specialist Medical Accountants) and with over 25 years' experience, we are committed to providing outstanding service to all our clients.

We are looking for a candidate to join our diverse and welcoming team in a mixed role, which includes: -

Preparation of year-end accounts through to finalisation for sole traders and partnerships and small owner-managed limited companies, including the healthcare sector.
Produce management accounts and monthly reporting where required for varied sectors
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Prepare corporation tax returns
Assisting with preparation of weekly and monthly outsourced payroll process

Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a practice setting and must: -
Be AAT qualified although Qualified by Experience will also be considered
Communicate with clients directly and have day to day contact
Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Be able to work under pressure and use own initiative
Must be organised and be able to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines
Be able to work effectively as part of a team
Be computer literate and have experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable candidates will have experience working within the healthcare sector and have a good knowledge of working with various software such as:- Sage cloud, SAP, Sage Tax, and Sage Payroll, QuickBooks and Xero but training can be provided to the successful candidate if necessary. Can provide study support for ACCA.

The role is full time and permanent, 35 hours per week.

The role will be office-based, but hybrid / flexible working may be considered.

Salary £27,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
