Full job description

Conveyancing Solicitor (Minimum 3 Years' PQE or Equivalent Experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join our well-respected Residential Conveyancing team.

Working closely with the Head of Department and a supportive, friendly team, the successful candidate will manage their own varied caseload independently, from instruction through to post-completion, with minimal supervision.

The caseload will include:

Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Transfers of equity
Remortgages
Registered and unregistered land
Plot purchases
Help to Buy and other new build transactions

Key responsibilities include:

Taking client instructions and providing clear, practical legal advice, including likely timescales and costs.
Preparing and drafting correspondence, reports, enquiries, statements and legal documentation.
Reviewing contracts, title documents, searches, mortgage offers and replies to enquiries.
Negotiating on behalf of clients and liaising with solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties to achieve the best possible outcome.
Progressing matters efficiently from inception to completion, prioritising workloads appropriately and keeping clients informed throughout the transaction.

The successful candidate will have:

Be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in residential conveyancing.
The ability to manage a full residential conveyancing caseload independently with minimal supervision.
Experience handling a broad range of residential property transactions.
Excellent communication, organisational and client care skills.
A good working knowledge of CQS and Lexcel requirements.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Established professional relationships with local estate agents and other property professionals would be advantageous.
