Sales & Logistics Administrator
Location: Consett, County Durham
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Sales & Logistics Administrator to support our UK, European (BV) and US (LLC) operations.
This is a key role within the business, supporting sales order processing, customer service, logistics coordination and administration activities across multiple international markets.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient processing of customer orders, coordinating deliveries, managing logistics activities both domestic and international and ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained.
The role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
A knowledge of Sage 200 would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Order Processing
* Process customer sales orders accurately using Sage 200.
* Generate quotations, sales orders, delivery notes and invoices.
* Maintain customer account information and pricing structures.
* Monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers.
* Liaise with the sales team regarding customer requirements and order status.
* Resolve customer queries relating to orders, deliveries and invoicing.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
* Arrange UK, European and international shipments.
* Coordinate deliveries with freight forwarders, hauliers and courier companies.
* Track shipments and proactively manage delivery issues.
* Work closely with warehouse personnel to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
* Assist with stock administration and inventory reporting.
* Support import and export activities where required.
Import / Export Documentation
* Prepare and review export documentation including:
* Commercial invoices
* Packing lists
* Certificates of Origin
* Shipping documentation
* Customs paperwork
* Ensure compliance with customer and destination country requirements.
Customer Service & Administration
* Act as a primary point of contact for customers and suppliers.
* Manage incoming telephone calls and email enquiries.
* Maintain accurate customer records and filing systems.
* Assist with supplier administration and onboarding documentation.
* Support Directors and Managers with general administrative duties.
* Maintain internal systems and reporting databases.
Reporting & Business Support
* Produce sales and logistics reports.
* Maintain KPI and operational reporting data.
* Support month-end administration processes.
* Assist with internal audits and quality management documentation.
* Ensure data accuracy across Sage 200 and associated systems.
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales administration, logistics administration or customer service administration role.
* Experience processing customer orders from receipt through to invoicing.
* Experience coordinating deliveries and logistics activities.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desireable Experience:
* Manufacturing, chemical, construction materials or industrial distribution experience.
* Experience supporting international customers and shipments.
* Knowledge of import and export documentation and customs procedures.
* Understanding of Incoterms and international trade.
* Strong working knowledge of Sage 200.
* Experience with CRM systems.
* Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
