Full job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for energetic and dynamic individual to join our front of house food and beverage team.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic person to assist the manager in the day to day running of the bar / restaurant

A high level of customer service and effective communication with team members is essential.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Management of day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant
Training, supervision, and motivation of staff members

- Maintenance of a clean and organized front of house

- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
Ensure compliance with current food safety regulations
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance their dining experience

- Maintain accurate stock control including accurate ordering, delivery checking, line checks, stock counts and wastage control, investigating any anomalies as required.

- Awareness of, enforcement of and adherence to licensing, data protection, Health and Safety at Work (including but not limited to: Fire Safety, COSHH) and food hygiene legislation at all times

- Maintain office administration in line with company policy including correct and proper use of all duty managers log books, CCTV, keys, safe, storage of paperwork

- Carry out risk assessments, including daily fire safety checks, to ensure staff and customer safety in all areas

- Become efficient in the opening and closing procedures of the venue.

The successful candidate should have experience in the following areas:

- Previous experience in food production or hospitality management is required

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques

- Bartending skills

- Restaurant operations

- Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment

The Courtyard has been listed in the Good Beer Guide for twenty three consecutive years therefore a knowledge and passion for Cask Ale, Craft Ale and Craft cider would be advantageous.
