Full job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Chef to join our Catering Department.

This is a busy role, supporting the preparation of meals for our Day and Boarding community. As a Chef, you will prepare meals following recipe specification on quantity, portion and quality in a timely manner taking guidance and instruction from the Head and Senior Chef on meal preparation, production and service.

To be successful in this role you will have relevant qualifications coupled with a genuine passion for cooking with fresh locally sourced produce, and demonstrable success in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be organised, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure. In addition, you will be a team player with a positive “can do” attitude, flexible approach, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Previous experience within an educational setting would be an advantage but is not essential.

The post is permanent, 40 hours per week, all year round.
