Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic school or college leaver to join our team in Sheffield as a Service Engineer Apprentice, undertaking a Mechatronics Engineering apprenticeship training programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised, level 3 qualification over a three-year period.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical and electronic systems
Support the installation and testing of automation equipment and robotics
Participate in troubleshooting and repair of mechatronic systems
Collaborate with engineers and service technicians on live projects and maintenance tasks
Maintain accurate records of work completed and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Follow health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with company standards

Training and Development:

Complete a structured training programme combining on-the-job learning with academic study
Attend college or training provider sessions on a block-delivery basis as required to fulfil qualification requirements. For instance, in year 1 you may be away from home for up to 1-week in every six-week cycle
Receive mentoring and support from experienced engineers and team members

Requirements:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science (Grade C/4 or above).
A keen interest in engineering, automation, and technology
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to learn and take initiative
