ADE Power Ltd is a leading provider of high-quality power solutions, specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke generators and associated systems. We’re currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our Prep Team. This hands-on role involves operating a range of metalworking machinery to prepare components for fabrication and paint, and is ideal for someone with experience in sheet metal processing and a passion for precision.
- Operate guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma cutter, and band saw machinery to prepare metal components.
- Work out cut sizes from 2D drawings and sketches.
- Set up and adjust machines according to production plans and technical drawings.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
- Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Complete relevant paperwork and production records.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Previous experience operating guillotine, press brake, CNC plasma, or band saw machinery is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and workshop safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and carrying.
The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 2pm to 12:30am, Monday to Thursday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
