Full job description

We are a growing footwear wholesale and distribution business looking for a reliable and detail-focused Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join our team.

This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, accurate, and comfortable working across day-to-day finance administration. The position can be offered on either a part-time or full-time basis, depending on the right candidate’s availability and experience.

Key Responsibilities

The role will include:

Purchase ledger processing
Sales ledger support
Bank reconciliations
Supplier statement reconciliations
Credit control support
Processing payments
Maintaining accurate accounting records
Assisting with month-end reporting
General bookkeeping and finance administration
Supporting the wider office team when required

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous bookkeeping, accounts assistant, or finance administration experience
Is accurate, organised, and methodical
Has good attention to detail
Is confident using accounting software and Excel
Can work independently and as part of a small team
Communicates clearly and professionally
Is trustworthy and discreet with financial information

Experience with Xero would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.
