We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Leeds, a category B men's prison, housing males aged 21+.

Hours

37.5 hours a week, covering 7 days, all day shifts (9.5hrs), no nights. Shifts include 8am-6pm and late stop at 9pm which is rote'd monthly. Weekends are spread out over 4-6 weeks, bank holidays included

Please note you will be expected to work unsociable hours including some weekends, evenings and night shifts where applicable

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £49,175 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients’ mental health needs.
Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.

NMC Registered
Experience of working within mental health settings, developing knowledge and understanding of this patient group
