Full job description

Trainee Project Controls Engineer position has become available to join our successful team on the Cadent Framework based in Hitchin.

The programme will focus on helping you to grow your personal and leadership skills, alongside business and of course, the technical skills you will learn day-to-day on the job.

Our line managers are fully supportive of the trainees and will be involved in helping you along the way.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities

Assisting in the development of scope and Work Breakdown Structures
Establishment, management and reporting through Costain project controls systems
Prepare project reports including financial, resourcing and schedule analysis
Generating and maintaining schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Assisting in the development of project proposal estimates

Potential travel opportunities to work on interstate/international projects

Qualifications: Essential

Bachelor’s degree (min 2:1 or equivalent) in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is preferred
Be passionate about your field
have excellent written and verbal communication skills
high attention to detail
Passion for net-zero targets
Ability to working in a team of diverse individuals to meet common objectives
Good organisation skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and willingness to ask for help when needed
IT proficient
A willingness to learn with appropriate instruction
Excel at building and maintaining positive relationships
The ability to thrive in pressured situations

Desirable

Full UK driving licence preferred
