Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Meat Packer to join our food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and packing meat products in accordance with food safety standards and company procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a regulated environment, ensuring high-quality products reach our customers efficiently and safely.

Duties

Pack meat products accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct portion sizes and presentation
Operate packaging machinery and tools, maintaining mechanical functionality through basic troubleshooting
Follow HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity
Maintain cleanliness of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
Assist with inventory management by recording product quantities and maintaining stock levels
Conduct quality checks on packed products to ensure consistency and adherence to specifications
Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during shifts

Experience

Previous experience in food production or meat packing is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is desirable
Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot packaging equipment effectively
Competence in basic maths for measuring, weighing, and inventory purposes
Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality assurance

This role is ideal for individuals committed to food safety, quality control, and efficient production processes within a busy manufacturing environment.

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour
