Job Introduction

Are you an organised, proactive and enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a busy, professional environment? Do you take pride in delivering high-quality administrative support, managing competing priorities and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes?

If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our team! We’re looking for a Legal Administration Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support to our small, friendly Legal Services team. As the team’s dedicated administrator, you’ll play avital role in supporting our fee-earners by managing legal files, processing invoices, maintaining archived deeds and ensuring day-to-day running of the service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, uses their initiative and has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail,

What will you be doing?

Acknowledge new instructions for legal work and create new cases on our case management system
Provide general administrative support to legal fee-earners
Liaise with external company who hold all archived documents
Assist with various items of legal work as required by the Team
Assist with the preparation of court documents and court bundles when required

About you

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Demonstrable experience in administrative or business support role preferable within a legal or public sector environment
Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office and experience dealing with case management systems
Understand good administrative practices and records management
Ability to work independently using initiative to organise and prioritise workload with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understand the importance of confidentiality and information governance
