Are you passionate about Biology and keen to inspire the next generation of scientists, healthcare professionals and STEM specialists?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Science department and help shape the future workforce in science, healthcare and research. You'll teach across a range of academic and vocational programmes, supporting learners to achieve their ambitions and progress to university, apprenticeships and employment.

What you'll do:

Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Biology and related science programmes
Teach primarily on A Level Biology, GCSE Biology and BTEC Applied Science programmes
Support learners to achieve excellent academic outcomes and progress to their chosen destination
Develop engaging learning resources and practical activities that bring scientific concepts to life
Monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback and support
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities
Promote safe working practices within laboratory and classroom environments
Support learners to develop an understanding of careers and opportunities within the science sector

What we're looking for:

A degree in Biology or a closely related scientific discipline
A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
Strong subject knowledge across Biology and wider scientific concepts
Experience teaching, training or mentoring learners in an educational or workplace setting
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds
A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
