Are you passionate about jewellery, CAD and technical problem-solving?
Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery is looking for a Junior Jewellery CAD Technician to join our talented team at our North Hertfordshire workshop on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
As the UK's most award-winning bespoke jeweller, we create exceptional jewellery that celebrates our customers' stories. We are known for our creativity, ethical values and collaborative approach, designing and making beautiful pieces that last a lifetime.
Working alongside our talented jewellery designers, you'll transform their approved concepts and detailed design briefs into accurate, production-ready CAD models using MatrixGold. Your role will be to ensure each piece is technically sound, manufacturable and ready for production while preserving the designer's creative vision.
This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who has around one to two years' experience in fine jewellery CAD using Rhino or MatrixGold and is looking to develop within a highly skilled and supportive team.
What you'll be doing
- Creating accurate, production-ready CAD models for bespoke commissions and ready-to-wear collections using MatrixGold.
- Working closely with our jewellery designers to translate their approved designs into technically accurate CAD models.
- Collaborating with the workshop team to ensure designs are practical to manufacture and meet our high standards of craftsmanship.
- Supporting the CAD team with pre-production checks, administration and 3D scanning.
- Maintaining organised digital workflows and ensuring CAD files are completed accurately and on time.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience using Rhino or MatrixGold for fine jewellery CAD.
- Has around one to two years' experience in fine jewellery CAD, whether gained through employment or a high-quality placement.
- Has excellent attention to detail and enjoys producing precise technical work.
- Understands jewellery manufacturing techniques and workshop processes.
- Is organised, collaborative and enjoys solving technical challenges.
- Has a genuine passion for exceptional jewellery and craftsmanship.
If you're excited by the opportunity to transform beautiful jewellery designs into exceptional finished pieces and develop your skills alongside a talented and supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
