Overview:
Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Lancing in their search for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a full-time permanent position supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 within a mainstream secondary school setting. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support learning, engagement, and student progress across a range of subjects.

Role Responsibilities:

Support students in class to access learning effectively across KS3 and KS4.
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and improve progress.
Assist teachers with lesson preparation, resources, and classroom organisation.
Support students with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a focused learning environment.
Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence in learning.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and engagement.
Support behaviour management in line with school policies.
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and the wider school team.
Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote student wellbeing at all times.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Commitment to supporting student progress and inclusion.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
