Job Role
The main responsibilities of this post are to prepare, deliver, assess and support training and qualifications on behalf of Silver Birch Care Holdings Limited. The Trainer will ensure that employees receive high-quality learning and development opportunities that support compliance, professional growth and the delivery of outstanding care services.
Location
London & Peterborough, and other locations as deemed necessary and appropriate from time to time. The candidate must be willing travel to all locations within Silver Birch Care Holdings ltd
Hours
40 hours per week – Permanent Full-Time
Qualifications
Essential
- Must hold a full drivers license
- A minimum Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent) or at least 2 years’ experience working within the children’s social care sector, with a good working knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements within the care industry.
Duties
- Deliver training, inductions and workshops in accordance with the company training programme.
- Deliver face-to-face and online training sessions, ensuring learners receive the required knowledge, skills and support.
- Assess learner understanding and provide constructive feedback where required.
- Deliver planned training sessions and provide additional training support when required.
Training Subjects
The Trainer will be expected to deliver, support and develop training across a range of mandatory and Additional subjects.
The post holder may also be required to develop and deliver additional training programmes in response to organisational needs, regulatory changes, emerging best practice, or specific requirements identified within individual services.

- A strong understanding of Therapeutic Care and be able to bring their therapeutic practice into the training delivery.
- Planning & Organisation – Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively prepare, coordinate and deliver training activities.

- Initiative – Demonstrates a proactive approach and a positive, solution-focused attitude.
- Interpersonal Skills – Builds effective working relationships with learners, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Accuracy – Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail and maintains accurate records and documentation.

- Commit to a continuous improvement culture and be prepared to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and extent of the post.
- Ensure Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by attending relevant training, workshops and professional learning opportunities.
Experience
- Proven experience in delivering training and learning programmes, with the ability to demonstrate success in a previous role.
- Experience of supporting, coaching and developing learners.
- Passionate about learning and development and committed to achieving positive outcomes.
- Candidates with a background in the children’s social care industry are essential.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours and locations.
