We are recruiting for 2 full time Assistant Environment Protection Officers on a rolling 3 month contract

Due to the nature of this role, area’s covered will be either; Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling & Perth or Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders.

Provides support for the regulatory activities of the Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling & Perth team or the Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders Team
Supports team members in the processing and reporting of information and data
Routine compliance assessment work and low-level complaint response and enforcement work
Responding to first level enquiries

This is a highly important role within our Regulation, Business & Environment portfolio, which means you’ll need:

Relevant experience or qualification to SCQF Level 6-7 (such as Scottish Highers or equivalent)
Effective communication skills with a range of stakeholders, preferably experience in communicating with business owners and/or members of the public
Ability to triage work and priorities, escalating risks and issues where necessary
Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment
