Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with various site preparation, maintenance, and construction tasks, ensuring the smooth progression of projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry within a supportive environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills in a dynamic setting.

Duties

Assisting with site clearance, including removing debris and organising materials
Digging trenches, holes, and foundations using manual tools or machinery under supervision
Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as required
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Assisting with the setting up of scaffolding, barriers, and signage on site
Carrying out general labouring duties such as mixing concrete or assisting with ground levelling

Experience

Previous experience in construction or manual labour roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
Good organisational skills and attention to safety procedures are essential
Basic understanding of health and safety standards within construction environments is desirable
A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn driving machinery is a plus
