Full job description

Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Service Assistant to join our Hotel Operations team. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of the hotel across Front Office, Bar, Restaurant, Banqueting and Events. The successful candidate will be flexible, proactive and committed to delivering excellent guest service whilst adapting to the operational needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service across Front Office, Bar, Restaurant, Banqueting and Events, ensuring a positive guest experience at all times.
Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner, assisting with enquiries and providing operational support across guest-facing departments.
Support the setup, service and breakdown of food & beverage operations, meetings, conferences, banqueting and events as required.
Assist with Front Office duties, including guest check-ins, check-outs and general reception support, where required.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, food safety, health & safety and hygiene within all working areas.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel.
Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role, in line with operational and business requirements.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, customer service or a guest-facing role is preferred.
A positive, flexible and proactive attitude with a willingness to support different operational departments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business demands.
A team player who is reliable, well-presented and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, in accordance with the operational needs of the business.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71 per hour
