Our commitment is to deliver reliable and efficient transport solutions while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
Summary

We are seeking a Transport General Manager to lead our transportation operations in Aberdeenshire. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily activities, optimising processes, and ensuring the delivery of top-quality service that aligns with our company's mission of excellence in transportation.
Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of transportation operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
Develop and implement strategies for process improvement and cost reduction.
Supervise staff, including drivers and operational personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Monitor transportation management systems and other logistics software to optimise routing and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Coordinate with other departments to streamline supply chain activities.
Analyse financial reports related to profit & loss statements to improve profitability.
Lead initiatives for continuous improvement across all operational areas.
Transport Manager qualifications are preferred but not essential
Proven experience in supervising transportation or logistics operations.
Strong understanding of transportation management systems, ERP systems, and logistics processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage profit & loss statements effectively.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Experience with process improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
