Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a self motivated, disciplined and skilled Motor Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and modifying a range of specialist vehicles.

Duties

Perform comprehensive inspections
Repair and replace faulty components, including engine components, cambelts/chains, transmissions, clutches, brakes, and electrical components, utilizing hand tools and power tools.
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
Assemble or disassemble vehicle parts during repairs or upgrades with precision and attention to detail.
Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle, documenting repairs performed and parts used.
Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment to handle large or cumbersome parts safely.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and addressing customer concerns professionally.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a motor vehicle technician or mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge.
Experience with Ford, VAG, Mitsubishi Evolutions and/or Subaru Preferred
Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions effectively.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair techniques.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and serve customers effectively.
Certification or training in automotive technology is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing learning is encouraged.

Pay: £12,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
