About Carvers

Carvers Building Supplies is a long-established, independent Builders & Timber Merchant proudly serving the West Midlands. Known for quality products and great service.

The Role

We’re looking for a reliable and hard-working Yard Operative to join our Kidderminster branch. This is a physical, hands-on role working in all weather conditions, operating forklifts, and supporting both deliveries and collections. You'll be a key part of the team ensuring safe, accurate, and timely movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

Drive and operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
Unload supplier deliveries and check goods against delivery notes.
Pick and prepare customer orders for collection or delivery.
Load and unload customer and company vehicles safely.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised yard.
Provide friendly, helpful service to customers collecting materials.
Conduct daily vehicle and equipment checks where required.

What You’ll Need

A valid forklift licence (counterbalance and/or telehandler preferred).
Experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar trade environment.
Good awareness of building products (an advantage).
Physical fitness and confidence with manual handling.
A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
A customer-focused, team-first attitude

Hours

Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm. Saturday mornings on a rota.
