Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating production equipment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining efficient production processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food production industry while contributing to the creation of high-quality products. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Duties

Operate and monitor various food production machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with HACCP protocols and food safety regulations throughout the production process.
Conduct quality checks on products to maintain consistency and meet specifications.
Assist with cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Record production data accurately using basic maths skills for inventory and quality control purposes.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets efficiently.
Identify and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly to minimise downtime.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is advantageous.
Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety compliance.
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for measurements, inventory, and data recording purposes.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, with a focus on safety and efficiency in all tasks undertaken.
