Sales Advisor

Rix Petroleum – Snetterton Depot

Full time, Permanent (Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm)

£26,436.80 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)

Rix Petroleum is one of the oldest remaining family-owned, independent fuel delivery companies in the UK. As national fuel suppliers, we distribute and retail petroleum products to homes, farms, and businesses from our depots located across the country.

Job Description

To provide excellent customer service while supporting the sale of domestic fuels. The Sales Advisor is responsible for handling customer enquiries, processing orders, identifying sales opportunities and building long-term customer relationships while working closely with the depot team.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
Process customer enquiries and heating oil orders accurately.
Provide quotations and pricing to customers
Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
Identify opportunities to upsell products and services.
Support customer retention and sales initiatives.
Maintain accurate customer records using internal systems.
Liaise with the operations team to support delivery scheduling and customer expectations.
Handle customer queries, delivery issues and complaints professionally, escalating where necessary.
Support marketing campaigns and customer communications.
Ensure all office administration is completed accurately and within required timescales.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve depot objectives.
Maintain compliance with company procedures and health and safety requirements.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong telephone manner
Good organisational and time management skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
Positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Previous experience within a sales or customer service environment.
Experience within the fuel, energy or distribution industry.
Knowledge of CRM or order processing systems.

Package

£26,436.80 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)
Monday to Friday – 08.00am – 5.00pm (Weekend overtime may be required during the winter season to support increased customer demand)
