Full job description

£30,000 basic salary + £8,000 OTE | £38,000 OTE

We are looking for a confident, outgoing and organised Sales, Accounts & Administration Assistant to join our team.

This is a varied role combining sales, cold calling, customer service, accounts and general administration. The ideal candidate will be comfortable picking up the phone, speaking to potential customers and actively looking for new business.

If you're someone who enjoys talking to people, isn't afraid to make a sales call and can still keep on top of the paperwork, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Making outbound cold calls to prospective customers
Identifying and developing new sales opportunities
Following up leads and enquiries
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
Handling incoming sales enquiries
Preparing quotations and processing orders
Following up quotations to maximise sales opportunities
Raising sales invoices and assisting with accounts
Liaising with customers and suppliers
Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
General office administration and data entry
Maintaining accurate customer and sales records
Supporting the wider team with day-to-day office duties

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Confident and comfortable making cold calls
Friendly, outgoing and confident speaking to customers
Target-driven and motivated by winning new business
Organised with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working with figures and financial information
Confident using computers and standard office software
Reliable and able to manage their own workload
Professional with a positive, can-do attitude
Comfortable working in a busy environment
A good team player with a sense of humour
Using SAGE Accounts for invoicing, accounts and maintaining accurate financial records

Previous experience in sales, telesales, business development, accounts or administration would be an advantage.

Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, construction or industrial environment would also be beneficial, but is not essential.

What We Offer

Full-time, permanent position
Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am–3:00pm

The Role

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit quietly behind a desk all day.

You'll be speaking to customers, making sales calls, finding new business, following up opportunities and keeping the administration side of the business running smoothly.
