Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee and manage the organisation’s financial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant regulations, and the effective management of financial resources. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong accounting expertise to contribute to the organisation’s strategic growth and stability. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in various accounting software platforms.

Responsibilities

Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Utilise accounting software such as Xero, and other relevant programmes to maintain precise financial records.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
Collaborate with external Accountants and liaise with regulatory authorities as necessary.
Monitor cash flow and optimise financial performance through effective management of resources.
Implement internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and prevent fraud or errors.
Lead the finance team in maintaining accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations.
Analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making processes.

Requirements

Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry sector.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, and other relevant programmes.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and overall financial operations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed financial reports and analyse complex data sets.
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in all work performed.
