Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Commi Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable kitchen experience within a professional setting.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support senior chefs in meal preparation and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotation procedures are adhered to
Contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen by assisting with various tasks as required
Serve food to customers when necessary, ensuring a high standard of service and presentation

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong interest in cooking and food preparation
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings if required
Excellent communication skills and team spirit
