Pacific Business Solutions is seeking an experienced, professional and highly organised Security Control Room Operator to join our expanding Operations Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to build a long-term career within a progressive and rapidly growing security and facilities management company. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our nationwide security operations, supporting our officers, clients and management team 24 hours a day.
Working within our busy Control Room, you will coordinate operational activity, maintain service delivery standards, respond to incidents and ensure our security officers receive the support they need to deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Security Control Room Operator, your duties will include:
· Managing and coordinating daily security operations across multiple client sites.
· Launching, monitoring and closing all scheduled security shifts.
· Monitoring officer attendance, including accurate recording of book-ons, book-offs and welfare checks.
· Maintaining regular welfare and compliance calls with deployed officers.
· Coordinating emergency cover, sickness, holiday cover and last-minute staffing requirements.
· Dispatching officers to alarm activations, incidents and emergency call-outs.
· Producing and maintaining staff rotas while ensuring full contractual coverage.
· Liaising professionally with clients, security officers and senior management.
· Monitoring lone worker platforms, GPS tracking and security management software where applicable.
· Logging incidents, producing accurate reports and maintaining operational records.
· Escalating incidents in accordance with company procedures and client instructions.
· Supporting the Operations Management Team to ensure contractual KPIs and service standards are consistently achieved.
· Assisting with mobilisation of new contracts and operational planning.
· Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should possess:
· A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence.
· Previous experience working within a Security Control Room or Security Operations environment.
· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
· Professional telephone manner with strong customer service skills.
· Experience managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.
· Strong organisational and time management abilities.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
· Confidence using digital security management systems and multiple software platforms simultaneously.
· The ability to remain calm, make decisions and prioritise workloads under pressure.
· High levels of integrity, reliability and attention to detail.
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous but is not essential:
· Experience using security workforce management software.
· Knowledge of BS7858 vetting and screening procedures.
· Experience with lone worker monitoring systems.
· Understanding of alarm response operations.
· Previous experience scheduling or rostering security personnel.
· Knowledge of ACS standards and the wider security industry.
· CCTV Licence.
· First Aid at Work qualification.
