We’re looking for a Sous Chef who thrives in the middle of it all!

Murrayshall Country Estate is looking for a talented and ambitious Sous Chef to join our growing culinary team and help us shape our new and fabulous kitchen and dining experience.

Set within 365 acres of stunning Perthshire countryside, Murrayshall is a luxury four-star country estate offering award-winning dining, unforgettable guest experiences and an exciting new era of investment and growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, loves working with quality ingredients and wants to be part of a team pushing standards to the next level.

The Role

As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef to help lead the kitchen team, deliver exceptional food and maintain the high standards our guests expect across restaurant, events and hospitality operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who brings energy, creativity and strong kitchen organisation to every service.

You’ll play a key role in shaping menus, mentoring junior chefs and helping drive consistency, quality and innovation throughout the kitchen.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting the Head Chef with menu development and food innovation
Leading the kitchen during service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Preparing and delivering high-quality dishes with consistency and flair
Training, mentoring and motivating junior kitchen team members
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
Managing stock control, ordering and minimising wastage
Working collaboratively to create exceptional guest dining experiences
Helping drive kitchen performance while maintaining a positive team culture

Passionate about food and hospitality
Calm, organised and confident under pressure
A strong team leader with excellent communication skills
Creative, driven and eager to contribute new ideas
Experienced in a busy restaurant, hotel or hospitality kitchen at Sous Chef level
Committed to high standards, consistency and attention to detail

Most importantly, you’ll bring enthusiasm, professionalism and a genuine love for great food.
