Are you a passionate and forward-thinking occupational therapist ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a forward-thinking and innovative occupational therapist with previous experience of working with children, young people and families.

This is an exciting opportunity for a band 6 occupational therapist to join a new multidisciplinary therapy team in the charity sector. This brings a unique opportunity to shape and grow Rainbow Hub therapy services in our nursery and special school as well as developing independent services for families in the wider community as part of our charitable offer.

Rainbow Hub works with children and young people across the North West who have neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy. The charity is built upon an ethos of compassion and being child and family centered. There are high standards and expectations for working in partnership with families and in collaboration with wider professionals involved in their care.

About the Role

As part of our dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will deliver universal, targeted, and specialistservices to children and young people with complex neurological conditions. You will work as part of an integrated therapy team that includes physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and conductive education. You will have a key role in assessing, planning, and delivering interventions in our nursery and special school settings. In addition, you will work with families in the wider community to provide an independent therapy service.

Key Approaches

We are establishing interventions that are evidence-based and reflect the universal, targeted, and specialist framework. Interventions will focus upon;

· Enabling access and participation in nursery and school settings.

· Assessing and supporting development of independence in activities of daily living and wider participation in preparing for adulthood.

· Assessing and supporting the development of performance skills e.g. motor, cognition/perception, sensory processing and social emotional needs.

· Using a child and family centered approach that is aspirational, strengths based and supports achievement of potential.

· Using a coaching approach and training/education strategies to enable and empower professional colleagues and families.

✅ Enthusiastic and inspiring, with the ability to motivate others
