Full job description

Job Summary

Salon Equipment Centre is looking for an experienced, ambitious and commercially driven Sales Executive to help deliver the next stage of growth for our established salon furniture business. We are looking for a proven salesperson who can create opportunities, generate new business and maximise the value of the enquiries we already receive. This is not a passive, order-processing position. You will be expected to take ownership of every viable sales opportunity; progress it proactively and confidently ask for the order.

THE ROLE

Our customers range from individuals opening their first home salon to established businesses, salon groups, colleges and academies undertaking complete fit outs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate new business through proactive outbound contact and account development
Respond to and qualify incoming telephone, email, live chat and showroom enquiries
Take ownership of sales opportunities from initial contact through to close
Understand the customer’s requirements, budget, timescale and priorities
Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and tenders
Follow up proactively until there is a clear outcome
Maintain momentum by agreeing clear next steps with customers
Handle objections and commercial conversations confidently
Ask for the order and close sales
Sell complete salon furniture solutions rather than isolated product
Identify appropriate upgrades, complementary products and opportunities to increase order value
Re-engage previous customers, dormant enquiries and outstanding quotations
Develop relationships that create repeat business and recommendations
Maintain accurate records of conversations, opportunities and agreed actions
Work towards clear individual and team revenue targets
Take accountability for personal sales activity and results

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You Will:

Have a proven track record in a target-driven sales environment
Be able to demonstrate how you have generated and closed business
Be motivated by achieving and exceeding measurable sales targets
Be proactive, self-motivated and hard-working
Have the confidence to prospect for new business
Be tenacious and consistent with follow-up
Be resilient when handling objections, delays and lost sales
Be confident selling by telephone, email, online and face to face
Be commercially aware and numerically confident
Be comfortable discussing prices, budgets and order values
Be organised and able to manage multiple opportunities
Build strong relationships without losing focus on securing the sale
Take responsibility for your own performance
Be friendly, articulate, credible and professional
Respond positively to targets, coaching and constructive challenge

Previous salon furniture experience is not essential. We can teach you our products, customers and industry. You must bring proven sales ability, commercial drive and the determination to create opportunities and close business.

This is a full-time, showroom and office-based position in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm

Salary is dependant on experience.
