Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans.
Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence where possible.
Maintain clear communication with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
Document care provided accurately and report any concerns or changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff.
Assist with light domestic duties, including meal preparation and light cleaning, respecting individual routines.
Support residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life.
Use IT systems to update records and communicate effectively within the care team.

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs.
Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and team members.
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others.
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. This role offers an enriching environment where your skills can make a positive impact on the lives of others while developing your career within the care sector.

Pay: £12.75 per hour
