About the role

This is a key role, leading the planning and operational delivery of the Health and Fitness programme at Leisure at. You will be leading your team to deliver a great experience and competitive offer to current and future users of our Health and Fitness facilities.

The Role – Health and Fitness Manager

Own and develop the Centre’s health and fitness programmes and class timetable.
Drive the commercial performance of the health and fitness facilities, contributing to the Centre’s overall objectives.
Use your knowledge of leisure and sports sector trends and developments to propose new offers for the Health and Fitness programme
Lead the operational management of the Health and Fitness Suite and programme to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Manage and develop our Health and Fitness team to deliver exceptional service
Take ownership of member engagement in our fitness and health programmes.
Work with your peers in supporting the Head of Leisure to develop and enhance the programme offer and customer experience.

Our Requirements – Health and Fitness Manager

Qualifications

· Level 3 specialisms in gym and fitness qualifications.

· Level 3 gym instructor (or working towards).

Experience

A minimum of 3 years working as a supervisor or leading teams in a fitness environment.
A sound commercial understanding of sales and retention.
Excellent knowledge of customer service skills and dealing with a range of customer needs.
Knowledge of Health care and wellbeing partnerships and understanding of health referral schemes
Exercise to music programmes.
Personal training.

Skills and abilities

Commercial awareness with a result mindset
Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
Comfortable dealing with multiple tasks and prioritising appropriately to meet timelines
Customer focussed and able to manage challenging customer situations proactively
Proactive/self-motivated
Works together with employees, colleagues and customers to resolve problems and implement change initiatives
Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with current data protection legislation
Report Writing
Good IT skills
