Service Manager – Baylis Cheltenham Vauxhall and Peugeot

Salary: Realistic earnings of £75,000 + Company Car (Option of Electric car with 3% Benefit in kind)

UPTO £10,000 RELOCATION COST SUPPORT

Baylis Cheltenham is looking for an experienced and people-focused Service Manager to lead our busy VAUXHALL and PEUGEOT aftersales department. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys developing teams, driving performance and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence
Previous management experience within motor trade aftersales
Strong understanding of aftersales operations and customer service standards

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

You will bring:

At least 3 years’ experience in people management within an aftersales or automotive environment
A proven leadership background with strong communication skills
A target-driven and ambitious mindset
Experience coaching and developing team members with different learning styles
Strong business and analytical skills with the confidence to identify opportunities and implement improvements
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service

The Role

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the service department, ensuring operational excellence across both Vauxhall and Peugeot operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Achieving and exceeding monthly financial and departmental targets
Delivering consistently high levels of customer satisfaction
Managing and supporting: Workshop Controllers, Service Advisors, Vehicle Technicians and Apprentice Technicians
Coaching, mentoring, and developing your team
Driving departmental performance through KPIs and manufacturer standards
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety procedures
Building and maintaining strong relationships with manufacturer partners
Promoting and living the Baylis core values every day

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £55,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
