Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Class 4, 5L & 7 MOT's, Taxi Inspections, VSI Checks & Minibus inspections. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment, ensuring vehicles meet safety standards and operate efficiently. Candidates must possess strong mechanical knowledge and be capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.

Full training will be provided for taxi inspections and VSI checks.

Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Saturdays on a rota

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a current MOT licence
Has a positive attitude and strong attention to details
Works well as part of a team
Takes pride in delivering high standards of vehicle inspection & testing.

Responsibilities

Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal and safety standards, ensuring vehicles pass or are flagged for repairs.
Conduct taxi inspections, VSI checks, minibus inspections.
Perform routine vehicle inspections.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling parts or equipment.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols.

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
