As Rio expands, we’re looking for a service-driven Floor Supervisor to help lead our team, deliver operational excellence, and ensure every guest leaves feeling like part of the Rio family.
Position Summary
The Floor Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in supporting the General Manager /Assistant manager and Duty Manager with all aspects of restaurant operations. From guest experience to team development and day-to-day execution, you’ll ensure Rio’s high standards are upheld and the energy and rhythm of Brazilian hospitality is felt in every shift.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of FOH and BOH team members.
- Lead by example in delivering warm, attentive service aligned with Rio’s standards.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and actively coach team members on performance and guest engagement.
Operational Execution
- Assist in managing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Maintain quality and consistency in food presentation, service timing, and overall guest experience.
- Oversee floor operations and jump in where needed to support team or guest needs.
Guest Experience
- Monitor dining room activity and guest satisfaction throughout service periods.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring positive outcomes.
- Help build guest loyalty by creating a welcoming and personalized dining atmosphere.
Administrative & Financial Support
- Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and receiving of food and beverage products.
- Support budget adherence through cost controls, scheduling, and efficient labor planning.
- Use POS and reporting tools to track key metrics and assist in decision-making.
Compliance & Safety
- Help ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Maintain staff certifications and uphold training on workplace safety and company standards.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in full-service or upscale dining; experience in a churrascaria or Brazilian steakhouse is a plus.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a hands-on, team-first mindset.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including scheduling, and inventory management.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
