Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Camp Manager to oversee the daily operations of our camp programme. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. As the Camp Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for all campers while leading a team of staff members.

Responsibilities

Manage the overall operations of the camp, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and safely.
Develop and implement age-appropriate programmes that promote learning and personal growth.
Lead and supervise camp staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality childcare.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to foster a positive camp community.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for all participants.
Drive initiatives that enhance camper engagement and satisfaction.
Monitor camper behaviour and address any issues promptly to maintain a harmonious atmosphere.
Organise training sessions for staff on best practices in childcare and early childhood education.

Experience

Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare settings is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience working with children in various capacities, including nursery or camp environments.
A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs related to camp activities.
A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and well-being.

Qualifications

Enhance DBS Certificate
Level 3 in childcare qualification
Experience in childcare or nursery settings

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 12-24 months
