Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches and other food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a dynamic team. The position involves working efficiently to meet customer demands while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing excellent customer service at all times
Assist with stock replenishment and inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
Upsell additional menu items or upgrades to enhance the customer experience and maximise sales
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure orders are completed accurately and promptly
Follow all health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment for staff and customers

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is advantageous
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling cash transactions and portion control
Experience in kitchen operations or culinary roles will be beneficial in understanding food presentation and quality standards
Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours
Familiarity with serving customers in a fast-food or casual dining setting will support excellent service delivery
