About The Role
We are currently recruiting a female Live in Care and Support Worker to support a client in Cromer on a 3 weeks on / 1 week off, or long-term placement.
This role involves living in the client’s home and providing care and support in line with assessed needs. The support provided reflects what would reasonably be offered by a family member and does not include nursing tasks.
Applicants must live within, and be based locally to, the Norfolk area.

Responsibilities
- Assist the client with getting up and going to bed, including dressing
- Offer emotional support and companionship as needed
- Promote mental and physical activity through conversation, reading, hobbies and outings
- Prepare meals, support safe food preparation and storage
- Make and change beds, carry out light cleaning, laundry and general tidying
- Support with medication prompts and encourage independence with self-administration
- Maintain written records and participate in reviews where required
- Report any changes in the client’s health or circumstances to the Care Manager or Field Care Supervisor
- Liaise with family members, professionals and other care staff as directed
- Provide night-time support where reasonably required
Desired Criteria
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
